HSPPS Updates (NPRM)

The Office of Head Start issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Monday, November 20, 2023. The NPRM encompasses 112 changes, including 67 new rules, and marks the most significant updates to the Head Start Program Performance Standards in nearly a decade.

Final Rule

The Office of Head Start issued the Final Rules pursuant to the 2023 NPRM on Friday, August 16, 2024. The official release date is Wednesday, August 21, 2024, which starts the time period for implementing the final rules.Click here for the final rule.
