- October is Bilingual Child Month. One of the largest demographic shifts in the last decade is the increase in the number of children who speak English as their second language. The U.S. Department of Education interviewed Lillian Durán, a professor at the University of Oregon who's work supports DLLs. Check out their interview here as well as resources to support DLLs and their families.
Please visit our COVID-19 Resource page, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.
Sincerely,
Wanda Minick Executive Director FHSA
