- August is a great time to invite local leaders, State Legislators, and Congressional members to your programs while they will be home in their states/districts. NHSA has some excellent resources to assist you with hosting Congressional Visits. You can also check out their Travel Free Advocacy Toolkit to plan a virtual tour. NHSA Head Start Parent Engagement Call Wednesday, August 03, 2022, @ 7:00 p.m. NHSA will launch quarterly live calls for and with parents/caregivers to engage them on advocacy and making Head Start stronger! Take a moment to send this invitation to your programs and ask them to invite their Policy Council members.
