Here's what you need to know

  1. Happy Head Start Awareness Month! Let's celebrate by elevating the Head Start voice and recognizing the crucial role of our community members, educators, and families in promoting the various ways Head Start services support children and families. Check out the OHS social media toolkit for use throughout the month to elevate this most needed program.

  2. ICYMI: OHS Workforce Policies in the Updated Head Start Program Performance Standards webinar that aired September 30 @ 1:00 p.m. ET., discussed changes in the HSPPS related to wages, benefits, wellness, and engagement.  Check out Director Garvin’s Nurturing the Head Start Promise message here.

  3. There is a lot of misleading information about the amendments on this year's election ballot. Before heading to the polls, please take the time to understand what these amendments mean. To begin, click here, select "Made Ballot," and then click "Run Query" to view the six constitutional amendments.

Please visit our  WYNTK resource webpage, for archived WYNTK and FHSA events for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we are happy to connect with you and learn how FHSA can serve you better.

Sincerely,

Wanda Minick
