- The 34th edition of the Annie E. Casey Foundation has released its 2023 Kids Count® Data Book: State Trends in Child Well-Being. The 50-state report of recent household data analyzing how children and families are faring. The Data Book reports that in 2020—21, 13% of children birth to age 5 in Florida lived in families in which someone quit, changed, or refused a job because of problems with child care, the same as the national average. Florida ranks 31st in child well-being, 37th in economic well-being, 33rd in health, 32nd in family and community, and 5th in education. By the Annie E. Casey Foundation, June 14, 2023
