- With the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Biden Administration’s Student Loan Debt Relief plan, student loan repayments of the full remaining amount resume soon. Interest will begin to accrue September 1, and payments will begin October 1. If you or the families you support have student loan debt, prepare for payments to resume with this advice from the Department of Education. Federal Student Aid
