1. ICYMI: Program Instruction: ACF-OHS-PI-24-05, the final rule on supporting the Head Start workforce and consistent quality programming, was released on August 21, 2024. The final rule, with its immediate effectiveness, requires programs to comply with some updated requirements 60 days after the rule is published (October 21, 2024). Programs are granted more time to comply with several requirements, including new wage and benefit requirements, as noted in the rule's Effective and Compliance Dates section. 

  2. Updates to the Performance Standards: Nurturing the Promise webinar.  Join OHS for a webinar on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. ET, which will provide a detailed review of the updates to the Head Start Program Performance Standards. The webinar will also cover implementation strategies and timelines.

  3. Come celebrate FHSA's 25th anniversary on October 1-4, 2024, in Orlando, FL. For the Record, Head Start Rocks! Hear from Director Khari Garvin from the Office of Head Start, along with Chancellor Cari Miller, Division of Early Learning. This event offers a diverse range of educational sessions, from mental health to family engagement, a special reflective supervision track, and a Child Plus track for efficient data management.
