Welcome to the landing page for Be Healthy, Be Safe, Be Well, the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety's (NCHBHS) virtual Health and Mental Health Leaders Institute (HMHLI). This three-day Institute offers a unique opportunity for both new and experienced health and mental health leaders to deepen their skills and understanding about how Head Start and Early Head Start programs, and other early childhood education (ECE) programs, can enhance the health and well-being of the children and families they serve.

You can find further event details in this HMHLI flyer that you can download and share with colleagues and peers who would like to register.

Join colleagues from around the country for professional development on a wide range of topics, such as health equity, maternal health, active supervision, and mental health consultation. The institute includes interactive opportunities for mindfulness and “adult recess,” as well as exhibit areas for sharing resources and networking.

All sessions are presented in English with live captioning and simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.
