How do I know if I am an FHSA Member?

Each staff member, parent, Policy Council, and Board Member of a Grantee Recipient who has paid the agency's Membership Dues is considered a member of FHSA. FHSA members are encouraged to log in to register for the member rate to display. If you are a lapsed member, your dues must be paid before you can access the member rates. Uncertain how to log in, please contact FHSA at (850) 694-6477 or via email at [email protected]. 

May we register more than one person at a time?

Yes, the system will allow you to register and pay for multiple registrations at one time. The primary contact holder is encouraged to log in to view all personnel linked to the agency record for ease of registration. Refunds & Substitutions

Registration fees are non-refundable, with no exceptions. FHSA requires payment upon event registration. Registering for an event constitutes an agreement to pay the registration fee, whether or not the registrant attends the event. No refunds or credits will be granted for non-attendance. If you cannot attend, you are encouraged to send someone in your place.  Substitutions may be submitted via this form by Tuesday, November 19, 2024. After that date, we cannot process substitutions in advance. All others will be handled on-site. 

What type of Registration Payment may be utilized?

Payment may be made as follows: 

1) Online credit card payments accepted Visa, MasterCard, American Express

2) Invoice payment system. All checks should be made payable to FHSA (Florida Head Start Association) and remitted to 111 N. Gadsden Street, Suite 200, Tallahassee, FL 32301.  All payments should be received no later than Friday, November 22, 2024.

Is the event in-person or hybrid?

FHSA is hosting our Annual Training Conference & Expo as an in-person conference in Orlando, FL. All sessions and events will be live; there is no virtual option. 

What is the expected conference attire?

The conference attire is business casual. 

What are my parking options at the event?

Overnight and event day self-parking rate is discounted to $15++ tax a night.

Will there be Wi-Fi access?

Complimentary basic wireless internet access in the meeting space and all guestrooms and public areas will be available. 

What if I want to stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Studios before or after the conference? What type of room rate will be available?

The DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Studios is providing our conference attendees with their special rate of $159 per night++ 3 days pre and post-conference dates based on a group rate and room availability. Room block expires Tuesday, November 19, 2024, or until the room block has reached capacity. Hotel check-in time is 4:00 p.m., check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Early arrivals and late check-outs are subject to availability and prevailing fees. 

Are CEU's available?

FHSA working to review each session to determine if CEU's can be issued. Watch your inboxes for more information as it becomes available.

Photos & Recordings Notice

By registering for this event, you agree to be photographed, included in video footage, or otherwise recorded for FHSA's promotional purposes.

Dietary Requirements

FHSA strives to address all reasonable dietary requirements of our conference attendees. Please indicate any special dietary needs during online registration.

Will there be health and safety measures?

FHSA prioritizes the health and safety of all participants - attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and staff. We are committed to delivering the world-class conference experience associated with our brand while observing industry-leading health and safety practices in collaboration with our partners and contractors. 

By registering and/or attending a FHSA event, participants assume all of the foregoing risks, release and hold harmless FHSA, its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, exhibitors, licensees and other participants of and from any and all claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to my attendance or participation in the event. Participants understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of FHSA, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives. Participants accept responsibility to act in the best interests of their health, others who attend, and the communities to which they will return after the event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this disclaimer releases FHSA from any and all liability claim that may arise from event attendance.

For security purposes, venue authorities ask that conference attendees wear their conference badge at all conference functions in the venue.

In keeping with our duty of care and responsibility as an event host, FHSA is guided by recommendations from the event venue and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and will abide by the legal mandates of the State of Florida at the time of the event.

During the event, the venue will regularly sanitize meeting space and have sanitizing stations available throughout the property.

FHSA will continue to monitor CDC guidance, make protocol adjustments as required, and post updates accordingly because we are committed to delivering this year’s conference content in a format that makes you feel comfortable while still allowing you to receive the industry’s best training.
