How Positive Guidance Influence Staff Wellness, Part I & II

Target Audience: Coaches, HS/EHS Directors, Ed Managers, and Executive Directors

This session will explore how grantees can create an effective classroom practice to help anticipate and avoid the escalation of challenging situations in the learning environment. Participants will reflect on their classroom practices and generate ideas to encourage effective problem-solving in their classrooms that will support Staff Wellness. We will explore the importance of ongoing support and teamwork in the classroom. 

EHS-CCP Strategies to Ensure Collaborative Partnerships

Maria Allaire, Head Start Early Childhood Specialist, Etheria Dalton McFarland, Grantee Specialist, and Yuneera Hudson, Fiscal Grantee Specialist, Region IV TTA, ICF

Target Audience: All EHS-CCP program staff

EHS-CC Partnerships bring together the strengths of childcare and Early Head Start programs. This session focuses on conducting effective meetings, making collaborative decisions, and addressing conflicts in developing collaborative partnerships. Come learn to build mutual relationships that streamline services and maximize funding and resources for children and families for long-term outcomes. 

	Curriculum and Instruction Explores innovative supports for programs in providing high-quality early education and child development services that promote children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth for later success in school.
	Family, School & Community Investigates effective strategies for integrating parent and family engagement into all systems and program services to support family well-being, to promote children’s learning and development, and to respond to families' cultural and ethnic differences in the preschool setting.
	Ongoing Care & Well-Being Explores high-quality health, oral health, mental health, and nutrition services that are developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate, and that will support each child’s growth and school readiness.
	Professional Learning  Inquiries into various approaches to establishing and implement a systems approach for staff training and professional development designed to assist staff in acquiring or increasing the knowledge and skills needed to provide high quality, comprehensive services.
	Organization Leadership Investigates diverse processes for management, ongoing monitoring, and continuous improvement for achieving program goals that ensure child safety and the delivery of effective, high-quality program services.
	Inclusion & Equity  Focuses on recognizing and responding to individual diversity in learners and on the dynamics of teaching and supporting diverse communities and classrooms.
